Opening a Map
Firstly, you must be logged in with valid account credentials to be able to open a stored map. Opening a stored map brings up a similar dialog box to the saved map.
Basic Open
- Clicking the open map button (top left) will bring up the Open Dialog box in the middle of the screen. All other items on the page will be disabled apart from those available in the Open dialog box.
- Scroll down the list of files you want to open and select one by clicking on it once with the mouse. It will become highlighted with a blue background and the File id will be shown in the File name box denoting which file has been selected.
- Click the green Open button and wait a few seconds.
- The selected map will appear on screen after a few seconds, be patient as the system can only work as quickly as your internet connection will allow.
Detailed Open

The open file dialog can be used to open and download any of the file types available. If a map has been saved as a particular file type an icon will appear in the File Type column. It is possible to save a map in up to 5 different file formats(listed below). More file formats will be introduced in the near future such as PowerPoint, Photoshop & illustrator.
To open a map in the map colouring system simple scroll the list of files to view the file you want to open. Click on the file in the list(once) and then click on the green Open button. The Open dialog box will disappear and the selected map will open in the map colouring system window. It may take a few seconds depending on the complexity of the map and the speed of your internet connection.

To open other file formats, we’ve created a separate map viewer window. Click on a file from the main list, which has multiple file type icons. Links to the files available to view will appear in the bottom left corner of the open dialog window along with the appropriate icon.
Click on any of these links to open the dedicated map viewer which will open on top of the current window.
