Print View, Design & On Google

These tabs show the map in different contexts. Print View and Design work on the same artwork. On Google opens a geographic preview of the territory information.

  1. Print View

Shows the page background, title and border, with the map clipped to the page. Use it to judge what will fit on a PDF or image: check the key, markers and any circles near the edges. It is still possible to work on the map here.

  2. Design

Gives you room to work beyond the page edge. The page decorations are hidden and a guide shows the page boundary. It is useful when moving the map or key into place. Anything left outside the final page may be cut off in a download. Switching tabs does not create a second design.

  3. On Google

Builds a preview of the current territories over a geographic background. The editing sidebar is hidden and cannot be reopened in this view; it returns to its previous state when you go back to Print View or Design. Undo and Redo are unavailable here. Return to the editor to change the design, then reopen On Google to refresh the preview.

  4. Controls

Shows or hides the floating map controls, including the colouring mode, page orientation and navigation buttons. Hiding them makes more room to inspect the artwork; it does not remove map content from a saved file.

  5. Quick Tour

Starts the guided introduction to the tool. Follow its on-screen steps, move on with its navigation buttons, or close it to return to your map. The question-mark links beside individual menus take you to the relevant video.

  6. Messages: Original / New

The colourful messages are the standard presentation. Use this control to change the style of prompts without changing what their buttons do. Your choice is remembered in this browser.

  7. Undo and Redo

Undo reverses a recent colouring operation; Redo restores it. A greyed-out button has no available step, or you are in a view where editing is unavailable. Read any import or delete confirmation rather than assuming the whole tool has unlimited undo.

  8. Blue question-mark beside Undo

Opens this handbook in a large overlay. Search for an answer or browse the menus, then use the close cross, Back to my map or Escape to resume your work. It is also available in On Google. Help does not save or change the map.
