Warnings while choosing a password
These messages appear after email verification, while you are choosing the password. A warning means the password has not been saved. Keep the box open and follow its wording; you do not need to recreate your map or buy access again.
Use a password of 8–50 characters
The password is outside the allowed length. Add more words if it is too short, or shorten it if it is too long, then try Save my password again. Spaces count. There is no need to add punctuation simply to satisfy a symbol rule.
That password is too easily guessed
Choose a different phrase. A repeated common password, a run of numbers or an obvious keyboard pattern can still be rejected even when it is long enough. Do not make a tiny variation of the rejected example.
The password has changed since this code was requested
Another password change completed after this verification began. Go Back to sign in and use the latest password. If you do not know it, request a fresh code and complete a new reset. The older verification cannot overwrite the newer password.
Please verify your email address before setting a password
The verified setup step has expired or is no longer available in this browser session. Go Back to sign in, choose Set or reset my password and request another code. After it is accepted, choose and save the password promptly.
