Use your map in PowerPoint

The PowerPoint button produces a .pptx presentation, rather than simply downloading an SVG for you to insert yourself.

  1. Prepare the print page

Set the page orientation and arrange the title, key and artwork. Check Print View, including anything close to an edge. The export captures the print-page artwork even if you were working in Design. It does not export the Google background.

  2. Choose PowerPoint (.pptx)

Use the PowerPoint button in Save and wait for the file-created message. Choose Download Now, then open the .pptx in PowerPoint. It contains the finished map artwork on a slide.

  3. How the map is included

The map is included as SVG vector artwork with a PNG fallback for applications that cannot display the SVG. It is a map graphic on the slide, not a slide made from thousands of native PowerPoint polygon objects. Recolour territories in GBMaps for the most reliable update.

  4. Add it to an existing presentation

Open the exported presentation and copy the map graphic or reuse the slide in your own deck. Keep the graphic in proportion when resizing. If the deck uses a different slide shape, check its placement and margins afterwards.

  5. Make a revised version

Reopen the saved map in GBMaps, make the changes, save and export again. Replace the previous graphic in your deck so it does not show outdated territory assignments.
