Additional Data: add your own figures
Bring in sales, orders or other postcode figures and see totals for each territory in your legend. Upload a file once and keep it in your account for future maps.

Choose Additional Data → My datasets in the editor, or Open data library above your saved maps. Sign in if asked. Your own datasets appear here, ready to use. If this is your first upload, the file box opens straight away.
Add a CSV file
Choose Upload data, then drop your CSV into the file box or click to choose a file. Check the two selected columns, give the dataset a name and import it. The import guide explains this short process.
Use on this map
Click Use on this map beside a dataset. Its totals appear in the legend. Click the name of a zone in your legend, then click inside the map shapes you want to give to that zone. The figures update as you build it. You can have up to eight datasets on a map.
Remove from this map
Removes this dataset’s figures from the current map only. It stays in your account for later use. To hide a figure temporarily instead, untick its name in the Additional Data sidebar. Save the map to keep either choice.
Use it again on another map
Open the other map, choose My datasets and click Use on this map. GBMaps works out the appropriate totals for you. You do not need to upload the file again or alter your spreadsheet. If the file does not contain enough detail for a particular map, it remains saved for your other postcode maps.
Read the figures in your legend
The name you gave the dataset is the label in the legend. A blank value is missing information, not zero. A star beside a total means some coloured locations have no value in this dataset. Open More options to download the source, or Download this map’s figures to check the postcode breakdown. Duplicate map shapes and insets are counted once.
More options
Extra housekeeping is tucked away here. Download CSV saves the accepted postcode rows and values. Update this dataset imports a replacement file without changing your older saved maps. Archive puts a dataset out of the way; it does not erase its figures from existing maps.
Earlier uploads and existing datasets
If you have updated a dataset, More options includes Earlier uploads. Saved maps keep the figures originally used. Choose another upload and Use on this map only when you want to change this map. Datasets made with the earlier multi-column importer still work; their Figure to use list lets you choose a column.
Download territory totals or postcode figures
In the editor, open Download this map’s figures below the dataset cards. Choose Territory totals or Postcode breakdown. On the saved-map page, use that map’s options menu to download its saved figures. Save recent colouring changes first when downloading from the saved-map page.
Keep using included statistics
Load included statistics in the Additional Data sidebar opens the population, household and other built-in figures available to your map. These can be used alongside your own datasets. If no included figures are available, the message explains how to upload your own postcode figures privately. My datasets opens your library (or asks you to sign in); Buy a licence opens the usual payment choices for this map. The video shows the earlier statistics controls; the instructions here describe the current interface.
Change the order in your legend
Open Additional Data in the sidebar. Use the up and down arrows beside a figure to move it above or below the others. Uploaded datasets and included statistics share one list, so you can mix them in any order. Every territory in the legend follows this order. Unticking a figure hides it but keeps its place ready for when you tick it again. Save your map to keep the order next time.
