Cannot sign in or receive a code?
Most sign-in problems can be resolved in the same box without leaving your map. The pictures below show the actual warnings. Follow the advice for the message you see; repeatedly clicking Continue or requesting codes is unlikely to help.
We could not sign you in
Check the account email and password, including capital letters. Use Show to look for a typing mistake if your screen is private. If you have never set a password, or cannot remember it, choose Set or reset my password. The message deliberately does not say whether it was the email or password that failed.
No verification code has been sent
The tool could not connect to its email service. Your password has not changed and there is no new code to wait for from that attempt. Leave the map open and try again shortly. If this continues, contact GBMaps and quote the message rather than repeatedly submitting the form.
There have been several attempts
Requests or guesses are temporarily limited. Stop and wait before trying again. A resend needs at least a minute; lots of requests or sign-in attempts can take longer to clear. The button becoming available does not guarantee that the waiting period has ended. This message does not mean your maps have been deleted.
The code screen opened, but nothing arrived
The code screen uses conditional wording and cannot promise delivery to every typed address. Check the account address, junk folder and any company filter. Use the Email verification codes topic for the resend steps. If you cannot get into the account inbox, contact GBMaps with order details.
Sign-in is temporarily unavailable
Keep the map open and try again shortly. This is a service problem, not a request to buy another licence. If the box says to reopen sign-in, close that box and open it again. If the problem persists, tell GBMaps the exact wording and which step you reached.
Asked to use the secure address
Use the GBMaps page beginning with https://. Do not enter your password into a warning page or an unfamiliar website. Keep an unsaved map open while you check the correct address in another tab.
What this looks like
Real GBMaps dialogs with example account details. Choose View larger to read a message clearly.
No code was sent by this attempt. Your existing password stays unchanged.
Repeated clicks can extend the problem. Wait, then make one attempt.
