Email verification codes: enter, resend or start again
The Check your email box appears when you set a first password or reset an existing one. The six-digit code proves that you can use that inbox. It is temporary and is different from the password you will choose afterwards.
Email verification code
Type or paste the six digits, without spaces or extra text. Keep this tab open while checking your email. A code requested here cannot be used in a different browser, a private window or another device. If you requested a replacement in this browser, use its newest code.
Check my code
Checks the digits and opens Make this account yours when they are accepted. A code lasts 60 minutes and works once. After five incorrect guesses you must request a fresh code; do not keep guessing.
Send a new code
Use this if the code has expired or the email did not arrive. Allow at least a minute between requests; repeated requests can mean a longer wait. Requesting a new code in this browser replaces its previous one. If emails arrive out of order, use the most recently requested code.
Back to sign in
Returns to the email and password boxes. Use this to correct the email address: choose Set or reset my password again, enter the correct address and request another code. Going back does not change your password.
There is no email in my inbox
Check junk, spam and any company email filter, then check the address you entered. Give delivery a little time before requesting another code. The wording If this email address has a GBMaps account is deliberate: this screen does not confirm whether an address is registered. If nothing arrives, contact GBMaps with your purchase details.
That code is not correct
Compare all six digits with the newest email requested in this browser. Check that you have not copied an older message. An incorrect attempt does not change your password. The red message appears in the same box so you can correct the digits.
This code has expired or has been used
Choose Send a new code and use the replacement. This message can also appear after too many incorrect guesses, after the code was already accepted, or if you are no longer in the browser session that requested it.
What this looks like
Real GBMaps dialogs with example account details. Choose View larger to read a message clearly.
Check the newest message and correct the digits; do not keep trying the same code.
Request a fresh code. There is no password change to undo.
