Accounts & sharing

Using your licence and managing your account. These are the service questions from Help & FAQs. For help with an individual setting, use the illustrated menu topics.

  1. Can I buy one license and share it with the rest of the office?

A one-person licence is for one person creating maps. For colleagues to edit together, choose a team size in the normal unlock box, or sign in as the purchaser and use Upgrade access for an existing licence. Pay first, then open My team and invite each colleague to use their own login. To share a view instead, save your map and choose On Google beside it in My maps. You can share that viewer address or embed it on a website while the corresponding licence remains valid; viewers do not need their own unlock. The editor’s separate Share map snapshot expires after two hours.

  2. My manager bought it but expects me to design all the maps, is that O.K?

A one-person licence covers one person creating maps. If your manager purchased access for you, contact GBMaps with the purchase email and the email you will use so we can help you get the access onto the right account. If both of you need to create or edit maps, use team access with separate logins.

  3. Can I change the registered email from my old company to my new one?

If you email us from your old company email address and request the change then yes. We can’t do it if you don’t have access to the old email address.
