What do I get when I unlock a map?
You are paying to use our map customisation tools for this particular map type. You can then import/export/save as pdf or excel and see your map overlaid on a google style map (and much more).
How long does an unlock last?
12 months. You can use the tool as much as you like within that time and create, save, download as often as you need to over that time.
Does it renew automatically?
No. Renew when you want to continue using the licensed tool. We send reminders; check the renewal options and access date in your account before paying. A saved On Google link or website embed also needs a valid licence for its map tool. Contact GBMaps if you need help finding an old map or purchase.
Does one unlock cover every map type?
No. All our different maps are priced individually. You wouldn’t want to pay a premium to have access to a collection of maps you’ll never use. You find the map you need and you can create as many versions/revisions/copies etc. of that map type as you want.
What is the additional free licence?
Unlocking the UK Postcode District map also includes a Postcode Area map licence for 12 months. Unlocking the UK Postcode Sector map includes a Postcode District map licence for 12 months. These are the additional licences offered for those two products; an unlock does not cover every map type.
