# Renew existing map or team access

Official GBMaps guide for the classic map maker. VectorMaps has a different interface.

A renewal continues access you already have. There is no automatic renewal: choose when to pay and check the map and email before confirming.

## 1. Find the renewal for your map

Use Renew access in your account or the renewal choice beside the relevant map access in My maps. A renewal reminder can also take you to that map’s renewal page. Check the product, purchase email, people covered and total before paying. This is separate from buying a different map or adding colleagues.

## 2. Check the new access date

Renewing adds 12 months to active access, keeping the remaining time. Expired access starts its new term when renewed. Review the date shown for the chosen offer. A reminder itself does not charge you, and no automatic recurring payment is set up.

## 3. Use the existing purchase email

Use the email holding the licence. A payment email and a map file name are different things. A renewal link may already identify the account. If it shows the wrong map or address, stop and contact GBMaps rather than paying under a different account.

## 4. Complete payment and return

Use one of the payment methods offered, follow any provider approval, and wait for confirmation. A bank transfer stays pending until matched. Your saved maps remain associated with the account; sign in and open them after access updates. Renewing does not redraw a map or replace its artwork.

## 5. Renew or upgrade a team

The owner manages team purchases. Renew the existing team to continue its access. If you need more people or another map level, choose Upgrade access and review that quote and renewal date instead. An upgrade does not necessarily start a fresh 12 months.

## 6. Missing reminder, invoice or access

You can renew from your account even without a reminder email. Check junk mail and the purchase email. Your invoices in the account menu provides available PDF invoices. If payment succeeded but access did not update, contact GBMaps with the receipt reference; do not repeat the payment.
