# Pay for map access by bank transfer

Official GBMaps guide for the classic map maker. VectorMaps has a different interface.

Choose Bank Transfer where offered, get your reference, then make the transfer using your bank. Access starts when the payment has been confirmed.

## 1. Choose Bank Transfer

Select your map and the number of people in the unlock or upgrade dialog. Choose Bank Transfer if it is offered for that purchase. Complete the requested contact and billing details, using the email for your GBMaps access. Check the total including VAT before continuing.

## 2. Keep the instructions and reference

If asked, enter the six-digit email confirmation code and choose Show bank details. Change my details returns to the form; Send another code requests a fresh email. The order then shows the account name, sort code, account number, amount and unique payment reference. The same instructions are emailed to you. Use the details on your own current order and copy the reference exactly; do not use an old invoice’s bank details.

## 3. Make the transfer with your bank

Open your own banking app or bank website and send the exact amount with that reference. Requesting bank instructions does not send money. GBMaps will not ask you to enter your banking password in the map tool. Keep your unsaved map open while waiting.

## 4. Wait for confirmation

A pending order does not unlock the map yet. When the incoming payment is matched, access is activated and a confirmation email invites you back. Use the payment-status link provided to check progress. Transfers without the exact reference or amount may need help from GBMaps; activation is not guaranteed to be immediate.

## 5. Use your access

After confirmation, sign in using the purchase email and save your map. For team access, continue to My team and invite colleagues after payment. Keep your receipt and invoice for your records.

## 6. Paid but still waiting?

Check the transfer amount and reference with your bank, then contact GBMaps with your order reference and purchase email. Do not send bank login details or pay a second time just to clear a pending message.
